Speech and Debate SWAT is a homeschool speech & debate club serving families in the Greater Dayton, Ohio area. We are a collection of Christian homeschool families who see the benefit of speech and debate in training our children to use Christian character and become the leaders of tomorrow. We offer classes and coaching in both speech and team policy debate beginning in September and continuing through May. We serve homeschool families in southwest Ohio including the Greater Dayton area, Springfield, Tipp City, and Xenia. In addition to our classes, our students compete in speech and debate tournaments each spring through the Christian Communicators of Ohio (CCO) chapter of Christian Communicators of America (CCA). Gym Programs

Huber Heights YMCA Homschool gym The program is 1-3pm on every Wednesday that the Huber Schools have session. The cost for non members is $3.00 per child max. $9.00 Members $2.00 per child max $6.00 They do divide the kids by age. There is play areas for toddlers while older kids are in gym. The first hour usually has a structured program and the second hour is free play in the YMCA facilities.

Downtown Dayton YMCA

HOMESCHOOL PHYSICAL EDUCATION PROGRAM: Come join the YMCA staff and other home school children in a fun and exciting environment for physical activity. This program will be offered every Wednesday beginning September 2, 2009 and running through May 26, 2009. Activities will include, but not limited to; Basketball, Volleyball, Weight Training, Presidential Challenge and Team Building. Begins: September 2, 2009 Wednesdays Time: 2:00-3:00 p.m. Fee: $3/child/visit with the maximum a family will pay is $10/visit

Home School Physical Education at Tecumseh YMCA at Rt. 235 north of Route 40, south of New Carlisle. Fall 2009 Schedule for Homeschoolers Tecumseh YMCA Home School P.E. Program meets on the second and forth Tuesdays For more information, contact Chasity Russell at chasity@tecumsehymca.org. * Students will be split into age groups based on the number of participants. Age Groups: 3-6 & 7-16 * The cost is free for members, $4 for non-members with an $8 family cap. * The program runs from 1:00-3:00 pm. Please arrive by 1:00 p.m. so we can get started on time. 1:00-2:00 p.m. is guided physical education time. 2:00-3:00 p.m. is free activity time in a designated area of the YMCA.

Homeschool Swim and Gym is held at the South YMCA (corner of Marshall and David) on Fridays from 10am-noon. Cost is $4.00 indiv $8.00 family for members and $5.00 indiv $10 for families. The kids swim for the first hour then have organized games during the second hour. Open to kids ages 4 and older. Moms can swim with little ones, I think.

Hand 2 Hand Acrobatic Training Center has open gym every Tuesday from 11:00 to noon. All age groups are invited! The cost is only $6 per participant or $10 per family. A great place to jump, run and climb – especially during the cooler weather. Take a look at our website at www.Hand2Hand.cc

Rollerskating

Kettering Skateworld homeschool skate, on the third Thursday of each month. 1:15pm-3:15pm.  Cost for admission and skates $4.00 per person, $16 max per family.
